To apply for funding for a project you must be a current or returned Peace Corps Volunteer who served in Kyrgyzstan.
To be considered for funding from the Friends of Kyrgyzstan you must submit a proposal of no more than 5 pages. In the proposal we require:
If the board votes to approve funding for a project funds will then be released to the returned or currently serving volunteer. Please note that the board may elect to fund less than the full amount
The volunteer then agrees
to submit a final report at the end of the project reporting on how the finished
project achieved (or did not achieve) the goals for the project.
We will also require a final budget that demonstrates what the money was used
for and if there were excess funds what they were used for or if they were
returned. If a volunteer fails to demonstrate that funds were used properly
they will not be eligible for future funding and all further project funding
will be terminated.
