Clothing Drive for Babushkas (Linda Lee Blaine)

"We ended up with 25 boxes of clothes to send! We collected a total of 438 lbs of clothes! Way more than I expected -- I think the donations grew exponentially there at the end! We ended up with some great stuff though -- a lot of warm winter coats, hats, scarves, and mittens. We also received a good amount of just good sturdy clothing and even some shoes and boots. Most of the stuff we recieved is in great shape -- most of it looks like new and a few things still have the tags on!" - Linda Lee Blaine (K-7), April 25, 2003.

International Village Educational Fund (Amy Redwine)

"As you all know by now, we are working very hard to put my students through Universities in Kyrgyzstan. It is now time for our first annual fundraiser. This year, we are doing something different. We are raffling off a chance to win a brand new 400S Gateway Laptop computer and all proceeds will go towards tuition and living expenses for our 9 students for the 2003-2004 school year." - Amy Redwine (K-6), April 18, 2003.

"It's that time of year already and since our raffle was so successful in raising tuition money last year, we thought we would give it another shot this year. As you all know by now, we continue to work very hard to put my former students [Alina, Rahat, Zarina, Nazgul J., Eldar, Umut, Medina, Mira, Lena, and Nazar] through various Universities in Kyrgyzstan.

This year, we are raffling off a chance to win a brand new HP Laptop Pavillion computer and all proceeds will go towards tuition and living expenses for our 9 students for the 2004-2005 school year. It is a great opportunity to help us help them and it's cheap! A mere $5 donation will put you in the running for a new laptop and with several of these small donations, we will be able to keep these deserving students in school." - Amy Redwine (K-6), March 9, 2004.
