Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs) in Kyrgyzstan

Cimera is a Swiss-based NGO that works on media development and language politics in Central Asia, among other areas.

Internews-Kyrgyzstan supports 20+ independent television stations and 25+ independent radio stations in Kyrgyzstan by providing training and producing programs. There are Internews projects in countries in much of the Eastern Hemisphere.

The Kyrgyzstan Development Gateway is a pilot project of the Development Gateway Foundation, an international NGO chaired by the Managing Director of the World Bank.

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Kyrgyzstan supports democratic and economic reforms towards a goal of poverty alleviation. Specific programmes include local governance strengthening, conflict resolution, HIV/AIDS, and gender issues.
